"We are doing these really neat pre-order packages where we are doing these view master things from when you were a kid.

The band has been finalizing ideas for the album release which includes, if you purchase the vinyl you get the CD for free and pre-ordering the album will also be available. Maybe half this stuff we actually already knew there would be no chance it would be for Panic! so we went wild with it. When I asked when he noticed a shift in his musical styling Ryan had this to say, "It wasn't a shift really except for when we quit I guess it allowed us to do even more than we wanted. The Young Veins are set to release their debut album Take a Vacation! on June 8th and half the album are songs Ross originally wrote for the next Panic! album before their break-up. I don't know, I mean obviously if I was a young kid, a teenager and my favorite band broke up I would be a little bit upset too" Ryan said. "Some people are coming around and saying, maybe it wasn't the smartest train of thought I was on a couple of months ago. I wish they would understand this is our life and we have to do what is best for us." The storm is passing and over time fans have come to realize the band really did part ways because of creative differences. It's weird how some of the fans took it personally. "It was already bad enough without that having to happen too," Ryan explains, "I guess when people don't understand the reasons why it's easy to get mad at the person you don't know for something you think they did. I figured doing your own thing meant doing your own thing."Īfter breaking away from Panic! Ryan Ross received a lot of backlash from fans, which is something that surprised him. "I didn't think that they would keep the name" Ryan explained, "It was a little bit shocking when I heard about them doing these tours and stuff without us. When Ryan Ross and Jon Walker walked away from their popular band Panic! at the Disco, they also thought former members Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith were walking away from the name as well. "It really feels like we are up there trying to win people over, it is challenging" Ryan Ross stated about starting over with his new band The Young Veins. Take a Vacation! isn't for everyone, but you will definitely love it if a fan of the 60's music.When Ryan Ross and Jon Walker broke away from Panic! at the Disco last summer they quickly formed The Young Veins, a throw back rock band that wasted no time putting a line-up together and completing their debut album Take a Vacation!. It's a gorgeous love song and over all a calming piece. "Nothing Matters But You," is the bonus song featuring Ryan and his girlfriend Z-Berg of the band "The Like." That song alone, is enough to make anyone want this piece.
With songs like "Cape Town," and "Defiance," it's a "lay in bed, stare at the wall, and ponder life," piece. It's great for lovers of Peter and Gordon, The Beatles, The Monkee's, and various other 60's pop bands. Odd by Panic! then you will absolutely love this album. This is actually a gorgeous piece of work. This was the direction Ryan and Jon wanted to take Panic in, and it isn't what Brendon and Spencer wanted.ĭoes that make any of them awful people? No, of course not.
Ryan Ross and Jon Walker left Panic! at the Disco admist problems with Brendon and Spencer, and the direction. Anyone who bought this album probably bought it for the two key members of the band.
